Fund Fair
I was chatting with one of my contacts the other days about MDF. After remarking how stupid that geezer looks on that Changing Rooms TV programme, the reseller happened to mention the good old days. Although apparently, some resellers, ahem, my rivals of course, are still not playing fair with the marketing funding it is receiving from its vendor. Apparently, according to my mate this VAR put its MDF towards a very nice new shiny box at Twickham. Cheeky beggar, wish I’d thought of that.
Jibber Jabber
How true the world can be sometimes. Research came outlast week claiming that women talk more then men. And not just a little bit. Women apparently speak 20,000 words a day, while men speak around 7,000. I’m glad there is finally scientific proof that men honestly can’t get a word in edgeways where the female of the species is concerned. I told both Shirl’ and Her Indoors about. Stupid of me really - I haven’t stopped hearing about it since.
Baileys Comet
The awards always pass in a bit of a daze for me. I think its because I’m obviously working too hard – it has nothing to do with those double whisky’s I’m sure. Mind you I reckon Bill Bailey had had a few as well. Seems he was over come by his excellent rendition of Lady in Red and Move your Body in cockney style. Not to mention the techno Hockey Cokey. Mind you, lucky the geezer did good and despite the red wine he was clasping all night, managed to deliver the awards presentation in great style.

What a card
I bumped into someone that used to drink down my local at the CRN Channel Awards – turns out he now works for one of the big distributors. When I asked for a business card he said he didn’t have one from the distributor but gave me one from his sideline photography business instead. Now correct me if I'm wrong but the Channel Awards is probably the biggest networking event of the year for channel players so if I was his boss I wouldn’t be too impressed. And judging by the busty blonde pictured on his business card I can just imagine what kind of photography he specialises in!!
